• Question: How dose languages that are so different have the same words

      Hi KaiF,

      Some words are the same in all languages because they are modern words, things like internet are a great example, they are the same around the world because it is a very new term.

      As for older words, I am not entirely sure, I guess that we all have similar vocal chords and therefore can make the same range of sounds, with so many words some sounds are bound to occur the same I guess, but I really don’t know. Maybe some of it is from travellers, sharing words for common items, but I am just guessing!
