• Question: Joe could the nanobots extract the cancer from the blood cells

      Maybe, but not now. What we do now is this:
      Alter the nanobots (actually the’yre nanoparticles of gold) and give them specific antibodies to bind to (things in your body). So basically we put them in a person and the nanoparticles can tell the difference between a cancer cell and a healthy cell. When it meets a cancer cell it sort of grabs onto it (through antigen binding sites most likely)

      Since gold is a really good conductor of heat and we can detect it quite easily we then shoot a laser at the body (which is harmless) it heats up the gold and transfers that energy to the cancer cell causing it to burn and die. If the cancer comes back the nanodevices will find them again and we repeat the process. It’s harmless to people, and infact i think scientists have had great success with the technique in lab rats, so it’s onlyt a matter of time
