      Unfortunately not.
It’s a myth that we only use 10% of our brain, we actually use all our brain, if we didn’t we wouldn’t need it and evolution would get rid of it. There is still alot we don’t know about the brain, but sadly i don’t think we’ll be telekinetic anytime soon (which is really annoying as it would be awesome!)

      Hi KaiF,

Yep, as Joe says it is a myth. You also wouldn’t want to control 100% of your brain, as part of our brains ensure many of our body functions occur when they need to, if you controlled 100% of your brain, you’d have to be responsible for some of these tasks!

Exactly, if you didn’t use parts of your brain they would become weak and the brain space would be taken over by more active parts.
This is because connections between brain cells are kept strong by activity, so if they’re not active the connections will break away. Use it or lose it!
It is possible to increase your brain function by using something called Cognitive Enhancers, but these work by improving what you can already do and not giving you new abilities like in Lucy!

The others have got this spot on. That film was filled with so many scientific mistakes that it’s hard to know where to start!

I didn’t see the film, but based on the other answers I’m not sure I should want to see it
