• Question: what will be the temperature at the eclipses maximum?

      Hi Ciaranchloe12,

      I had no idea about the temperature changes, but one of the schools in the zone measured it during todays eclipse. They were a school in Essex, about 86% coverage of the sun by the moon.

      They measured a temperature of 13.1 degrees Celcius before the eclipse and just after it reached the maximum eclipse the temperature was measured as 8.65 degrees celcius.

      They told me these figures during a Live Chat this afternoon, it is all their work, so a big thanks to that school for letting me know that!
