      Hey Science~friends,

That’s sort of what I’m trying to find out in my PhD.

My work is finding out whether vitamin A helps to make melatonin, which is the hormone that’s made during the night and that makes you feel sleepy. It does lots of other important things too like help your immune system work.

So it might be that vitamin A boosts the amount of melatonin that’s made at night and therefore helps you to sleep well.

      Thanks for the question! 🙂
