I don’t think time travel in the sense you see it in films is possible. If you are wanting to go back in time then you will travel back before the time machine was made and be stuck! Maybe you would be able to travel to the future, but you’d have to hope they hadn’t outlawed time travel.

Right now, with what we know about the universe time travel definitely isn’t possible.

      Adam,
Time travel is possible, there’s nothing in the law of physics that says it’s not. Now achieving it in a way of like doctor who or hot tub time machine is a bit different.
According to Einstein’s theory of special relativity, time travel is permitted by the laws of physics, in the sense that people experience time passing at different rates depending how close to the speed of light you are.
As for hopping back and forth through time, there are theories in physics that suggest some particles, like a positron can be considered to be an electron travelling backwards in time. And some quantum effects permit an event to occur before the cause, so long as energy is conserved in the whole process.

So yeah, difficult, not really in the sense that we want it, but in theory it’s possible.
