      My favourite reaction is Photosynthesis

      6CO2 + 6H2O ——> C6H12O6 + 6O2

      Which turns CO2 and water into glucose and oxygen. Vital for all life on earth, we would not be alive without this reaction providing us with oxygen and energy from food.

      Well I’m a chemist through and through, so my favourite reaction is any that makes pretty colours or gives me an explosion.

      For pretty colours- The combustion of the transition metals. For a nice explosion- liquid nitrogen in a coke bottle (DO NOT TRY THIS!) in a bin, as the liquid nitrogen warms up it expands and bursts out of the bottle.

      mine is the simple combustion of hydrogen and oxygen. It gives out loads of energy and forms water as a biproduct
