      Hi Charlie

The first life on Earth would have been very simple single cell organisms, formed from the joining of organic molecules, themselves formed from basic ameino acids (proteins) that gathered in what is called the Primordial Soup.

After that the life developed to be bigger, so multi celled organisms such as large algal mats and eventually basic plants and animals. After about 2 billion years of this happening, the concept of hard parts like bones and shells developed and from there we begin the fossil record about 600 million years ago.

The first things would have been the elements left over from the big bang explosion- so helium, hydrogen and the carbon and nitrogen etc which allowed life on earth to start.

i guess it’s hard to say what the first thing on earth was, there’s so many elements that was formed, and eventually bacterial life. how that jump was made i’m not sure. but i’m glad it did
