• Question: Why can't we control all of our brain?

      I think we would go crazy if we had to keep track of all the processes going on in our brain. Many stuff is automatized and outsize conscious control I think because we simply wouldn’t be able to do so many things at the same time.

      Hi Awesome Greg,

      As Leonie says, everything from our heart rate to our digestive system is controlled from sections of our brain, I think we would stop functioning conciously if we had to remember to do all these things.

      I would die quite quickly, I can forget to drink my cup of tea after making it, let alone control my heart rate!

      Leonie is right, why would we want to we’d have to constantly remember to breathe, blink, make your heart beat, ontop of that all the normal things you’d do.
      Sounds like a lot of effort to me
